The new Trek Supercaliber

The new and improved Trek Supercaliber

The ultimate bike for the ultimate racer.

If you’ve been hiding under a rock or just not following the MTB Cross-Country news. Trek have just unveiled their newest version of the highly renowned Supercaliber. Choosing between a hardtail or full suspension has never been easier. The Supercaliber gives you the best of both worlds. Proving to be a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the track. The proof is on the podium with it being the go-to bike for the Trek Factory Racing team.

Now it’s back with more upgrades that offer the best of a hardtail and full suspension in one ride.

A complete redesign on the second generation frame makes way for more capability without sacrificing any ounce of speed. A bump in travel from 60mm to 80mm in the all new Rockshox SIDLuxe Iso-strut offers the rider a more dialled ride. With space for more dampers, servicing the new Iso-Strut has also been made simpler with an easily removable cap. The new IsoStrut now comes with laser-etched sag indicators as well as a numbered rebound dial for the perfect set-up.

It’s not just the rear that’s got an upgrade. Thanks to the slacker geometry, the front suspension has now been increased from 100mm travel to 110mm. Combining that with the 29’’ Bontrager Kovee RSL wheelset and improved adjustability makes for one very fast and smooth ride.

The Supercaliber can take on any challenge

The new Supercaliber also comes in two different frame options. The lightweight SL option and the extremely lightweight SLR option (only 2 kgs excluding hardware). The frames feature identical geometry. But differ in their carbon lay-up and internal cable routing guides with the SLR frame reducing materials and weight.
