The Castelli Fast Feet TT Shoe Covers are designed for maximum aerodynamics in time trialling, adhering to the UCI rules. They have been developed by Castelli using CFD analysis and extensive fabric and on-bike wind tunnel testing. The foot portion of the shoe cover is coated with smooth silicone, enabling it to streamline the shape of the foot. Additionally, the leg portion is grooved, helping to detach the air as it flows around the leg. These shoe covers are cut high, reaching up to the calf.While they can be worn on the road, these shoe covers really shine during time trials, where their benefits are maximized. They are part of Castelli's Fast Feet project, in collaboration with Team Ineos, aiming to create the fastest foot covering for time trialling. The silicone-coated stretch fabric on the shoe cover ensures smooth airflow, while the engineered grooved Lycra® in the ankle portion aids in detaching the airflow.
