Our WEEE policy

We're happy to implement the WEEE recycling policy that guarantees any of your electronic bike tech is disposed of in a safe and correct manner. We care for the environment and maintain at trying to reduce our carbon foot print as much as possible.

From recycling packaging for postage to disposing of recyclable materials correctly, we consistently aim to reduce our carbon foot print where possible.

Batteries

Here at OE Bikes, we aim to implement the WEEE policy to the highest of standards. We're happy to recycle any of your old electronic bike parts such as Bike Computers, Fitness watches, Lights, eBike batteries and turbo trainers. We also accept small batteries such as  AA, AAA, 9V or flat 2032 batteries found in sensors or other items.

We unfortunately won't take any bigger batteries that aren't associated with bikes such as car batteries. For recycling of bigger or electronic devices such as washing machines, computers etc, please return those items to your local civic amenity site which will be free of charge.

The following link will show you how to find the civic amenity site closest to you where you can recycle your WEEE, batteries and light bulbs, https://www.weeeireland.ie/household-recycling/where-can-i-recycle/. Never put WEEE, batteries or light bulbs in any of your bins.

What WEEE recycling?

WEEE recycling refers to the process of collecting, dismantling, and recycling electronic and electrical equipment at the end of their life cycle. It aims to recover valuable materials and components while minimising the environmental impact of electronic waste.
