Castelli’s historical collaboration with the Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim paved the way for the creation of the PR Speed Suit. Using the expertise of scientists, advanced wind tunnels, computational fluid dynamics analysis, as well as rapid prototyping facilities, Castelli went beyond conventional boundaries to craft this groundbreaking suit, initially for Team Sky.

The PR Speed Suit incorporates silicone ribs on the sleeves, a feature designed to induce turbulence and significantly cut down on drag – one of the most challenging aspects of cycling. Both the legs and sleeves are cut longer than usual, further enhancing the overall aerodynamics.

Part of what makes the PR Speed Suit so unique is its main body construction. Made from a 50-denier upper-body fabric, it offers a lightweight, smooth and aerodynamic feel. Known for being ultrafine, this fabric is light enough to avoid being weighed down by moisture, yet fits perfectly beneath a swimskin or wetsuit. The 8% Lycra content provides active cooling by holding moisture close to the skin, creating a personal cooling effect.

Additionally, comfort during cycling is ensured with the KISS Tri pad, which is slim enough not to impair you when you transition to running. It truly feels like a second skin, providing you utmost comfort without restricting movements during the swim, run or cycle.
